Richie is the co-founder of Men’s Wearhouse (now retired). He is widely recognized as the marketing mastermind of MW, from his insistence on using TV as the main form of advertising as far back as 1975, to his careful nurturing and managing of the MW brand and image as the company expanded from one part of the country to another.
In January of 2009, Richie released his book, Luck by Design: Certain Success in an Uncertain World. The book, aimed at the children of Baby Boomers, received praise from educators, fellow authors, and reviewers. It won “Best General Non-Fiction” at the San Francisco Book Festival in 2009 and was a Finalist in the Self-Help: Motivational category at the National Best Books 2009.
Richie graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in English.
Laurence Pelosi is a principal with TDP Bay Area Partners, McKinley Realty Partners and Restore Utah, entities which invest in residential acquisitions and development in California and Utah.
Previously, Laurence was a Director with RBC Capital Markets, Executive Director with Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Director of Acquisitions at Lennar in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Pelosi has been involved in acquisition, development and financing of over $2Bn in master planned communities, resort residential and multifamily development throughout the Western U.S.
Laurence received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law School. He currently serves on the board Family House, a not-for-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Chris is the co-owner of Platinum Advisors, California’s largest public affairs firm, advising over 100 companies including Zynga, Microsoft, AT&T, Boston Properties, AECOM, Webcor Builders, Zipcar and the Hearst Corporation.
Chris served as Gavin Newsom’s first mayoral campaign Finance Director and as the Chairman of the Mayor’s re-election and extensively volunteered with the Newsom administration.
Chris is a founding partner of Storefront Political Media and worked with the San Francisco Police Officers Association, San Francisco Firefighters Union, the “Save Hetch-Hetchy” bond campaign and the “Care Not Cash” Initiative.
Chris also worked with former Secretary of State Kevin Shelley as well as the Office of the Vice President and traveled extensively with Vice President Al Gore as part of his advance staff.
Chris served in the U.S. Army and is currently a Veterans Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
Rahul is Founder and Managing Partner at Coyote Ridge Partners, a technology venture fund whose portfolio includes companies such as Nest, Nexamp & AllTrails.
Prior, Rahul was the COO at MyEnergy (sold to Nest), he served as COO of 1 Block off the Grid (sold to Pure Energies) and VP of Operations & Marketing for Spock (sold to Intelius). Rahul also co-founded the Clean Economy Network (CEN).
Rahul received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Susan Pelosi is the official glue of HatchToday. With a marketing and public relations background, she keeps the tenant founders informed of one another's activities and successes -- broadcasts the availability of the Hatch far and wide, and is always vigilant in making introductions to enhance the value of the tenants' experiences.
Since the first Hatch opening in 2011, multiple companies have merged and moved on to greater success -- attributable to the social environment of the Hatch. To date, Susan has welcomed over well 1000 Hatchlings into three HatchToday locations and hosted short and long-term visits from founders of accelerators in 20 countries.
